On the Royal River
The river Thames snakes serenely through the heart of the historic lands of the English Crown. The banks of the river hold many different sights for those boating on the Thames, from green pastures and wooded hills to charming villages which retain the essence of Old England.
Travelling through this region by boat gives you unique access to many famed places. Oxford, the home of the oldest English University and melting pot of British academics, is an exciting spot to explore and the countryside which surrounds it is second to none. Further south, the elegant Windsor castle stands majestically at the centre of the town. A royal residence for over nine centuries, it is well worth a visit.
The charm of the countryside will entice you to moor up often on your cruise and enjoy some of the many English pubs and restaurants that can be found on the banks of the river.
