Delightful Little Pleasure Port
 Port Cassafieres is a delightful little pleasure port on the Canal du Midi within walking distance of the Mediterranean and it’s lovely beaches. It’s proximity to Spain gives it some interesting flourishes in cuisine, architecture and culture and results in it being a truly cosmopolitan spot to explore.
Nearby Beziers invites you to discover it’s tumultuous past. The historical town, for a long time France’s wine capital, has now become an important tourist haunt, with many flocking to explore the ancient lanes and museums.
Cruising from this base also enables you to pass through the peaceful Etang du Thau, a huge expanse of water, with its pretty fishing ports and inviting restaurants. Spot the exotic wild flamingos on the banks as you glide by!

About the Base |
|
There are toilets, showers and a restaurant called ‘Aux Rendez-Vous des Bateliers’ at the base. Open-air parking is free of charge and there is also enclosed parking available, without surveillance, at a cost of 28E per week.
Opening Hours: 8.30am to 12.30pm and 2pm to 6pm. The base is closed on Sunday.
If you are taking a one-way cruise there is the possibility of car transfer from the departure base to the arrival base at a cost 95 E.
The boats are available between 4 pm and 6 pm.
If you are going to arrive late, please advise us by phone.
You will find shops and services such as doctors, banks, post office at Portiragnes, situated around 3.5 km from the base.
