Unspoiled natural paradise
Potsdam is known as the Versailles of Germany and is the ancient residence of the Kings of Prussia. The fabulous Chateaux or Frederick II sits in this town in the midst of the superb and elaborate ‘Sans Souci’ gardens.
The surrounding countryside is like it has just been taken from a fairytale, with forests and gentle hills intermingling with the picturesque lakes of Havel.
The base can be found on the right bank opposite the Island of Hernammswerder and is very close to the centre of the town.
The lakes and waterways that surround Potsdam are a joy for watersports enthusiasts and you are perfectly situated to take some time out from cruising to enjoy the many options on offer in the town.
*** Please note - UK customers cruising to/from Potsdam will require an ICC certificate. This can be obtained through the RYA. If you already hold an RYA dayskipper licence, the ICC certificate will be issued by the RYA without further training.
