Unspoiled natural paradise - Potsdam, Germany Potsdam is known as the Versailles of Germany and is the ancient residence of the Kings of Prussia. The fabulous Chateaux or Frederick II sits in this town in the midst of the superb and elaborate ‘Sans Souci’ gardens.

The surrounding countryside is like it has just been taken from a fairytale, with forests and gentle hills intermingling with the picturesque lakes of Havel.

The base can be found on the right bank opposite the Island of Hernammswerder and is very close to the centre of the town.

The lakes and waterways that surround Potsdam are a joy for watersports enthusiasts and you are perfectly situated to take some time out from cruising to enjoy the many options on offer in the town.

*** Please note - UK customers cruising to/from Potsdam will require an ICC certificate. This can be obtained through the RYA. If you already hold an RYA dayskipper licence, the ICC certificate will be issued by the RYA without further training.

About the Base

Our base has toilets, showers and a bar called Möve on site. There is free open air parking.

Opening Hours: From 8.00am to 6.00pm

If you are taking a one-way cruise there is the possibility of a taxi transfer of crew members at a cost of 95E.

The boats are available between 4 pm and 6 pm. If you are going to arrive late, please advise us by phone.

At Potsdam you will find all the facilities and shops are generally open from 9.00am to 6.00pm Monday - Friday and from 9.00am to 2.00pm on Saturday.

There is a Post Office in the town. It opens Monday to Friday 9.00am to 6.00pm and on Saturday morning.

The banks in the town are open Monday to Friday from 9.00am to 4.00pm and on Saturday morning.

From Berlin - Take B1 direction Potsdam/ Brandenburg to the Centre of Potsdam. Follow Zeppelinstrasse after DB Station Charlottenhof to the intersection of Kastanienallee. Turn left and enter the Yachthafen Potsdam ground. Crown Blue Line office is situated in the main hall of Harbour master’s office.
